Senkaku Mei is the mascot for Anime Revolution, an anime and Japanese culture convention in Vancouver, BC, Canada. www.animerevolution.ca
As a thank you to the CEO, I made a 2D animation featuring the convention mascot, Senmei. They have a 3D version, but I wanted to see a 2D version as well
. The first scene is the famous Canada Place where AniRevo is hosted in downtown Vancouver. I decided to integrate the gears as an effect considering AniRevo's logo includes them and I needed some reason for Senmei to be able to fly around in the sky lol. I ended up ditching the idea of Senmei landing on the post/roof because I couldn't get it to work well with the camera moves.

I agree with Anisa-Mazaki, seems a bit odd there haven't been more comments for a DD and wonderful piece like this one. Oh well, fewer comments to reply to! LOL

Yeahh! It kinda sucks the DDs are hidden now. I always checked them out when they were shown at the bottom of the notification page. Now, I don't see them unless they show up in groups, or if I specifically go looking for them u.u.Β
Thank you so much, tho! This one sure took a while, since it was a side project. Definitely a lot going on otherwise, but yes, decided not to overwork myself, even when impossible deadlines are looming lol......

Wow! What's even the point of DDs then if you have to go LOOKING for them? I haven't really been checking them out unless it's by chance. lol But I feel bad for the artists who get the DD because it's not easy and hiding them means they get less exposure. That kinda sucks, imo.
You're welcome! I'm glad you're not overworking yourself. lol And even able to "lol" about impossible deadlines and stuff. That's a good sign, in my book anyway. lol Though it COULD mean you're about to crack, but I doubt that's it.

Yeah I don't get to see DDs anymore like I used to. Used to see some really great ones. I'm kinda looking for more work now since most of my stuff is wrapped up and I'm waiting for other projects to start. Need some paying work in the mean time... stressing me out lol. Thanks again!
