some of you might have recognized the poll i startet a while ago. i asked about my photography and how i could improve it. some people told me to try more different stuff. well... i think i did here. you'll rarely find a b&w shot in my gallery so... i hope i did this one right.

Really like the feeling this one has, the white black white sections of the image, and the person walking away from the camera.
Und wer immer das mit dem "jungfräulichen" Schnee gesagt hat, da kann ich nur zustimmen, aber meistens rennen einem die Leute ja genau dann ins/durchs/übers Bild, wenn man auf den Auslöser drückt *L*

This is the first time that I've seen your work and I must say that I'm quite impressed. I agree with the second comment about the head of the subject touching and blending into the tree line a bit too much. Other than that, the black and white really does set the mood quite nicely besides making the viewer focus on the solitary figure in the center. Truly a captivating work. Thanks for putting it up.

Beautiful. I love the B&W and the contrast between to subject and the snow. The composistion is great also.

Ein sehr schönes Foto, da bin ich richtig froh, das du mal etwas anderes machen wolltest.
Ich liebe solche eleganten und tiefgründigen Fotos.
Wovon ich sehr angetan war, es aber erst beim 2ten Blick gemerkt habe ist, die "Farbtrennung", den schwarzen Streifen bestehend aus Bäumen, die den wunderschönen weißen Himmel vom weißen Schnee trennt.
Schade ist hier nur, das schon soviele durch den Schnee gestapft sind, ein gänzlich jungfräulicher Boden wo dann nur deine(?) Fussstapfen zu sehen wären, hätte das Bild noch schöner gemacht und das edle unterstrichen.
Mir gefällt das Bild sehr sehr gut und hoffe, das man noch ein bischen mehr von solchen Ergüssen erwarten kann ^^

surely a beautiful shot! i especially like the persons sillhuette for once. there are lots of similar shots out there but mostly i dont like the sillhuette too much. the one here fits right in. i myself find it sad that the head and the forrest merge with eachother. but apart from that great work.

looks great, the guy stick out of the white landscape very well, the panoramic format creates a feeling of emptiness and loneliness which just emphacizes the photograph relly well. nice shot

how interesting what the caption says, when altogether..the subject is merely a silhouette..so consistent in darkness, it makes me feel that he is a foreigner, unknown to this world he has come upon.. then again, it would be lonely to journey through a world seemingly alien...
