Description and another comcept piece. did this a few days ago with a few touch ups today. idea behind it is to visualize 'scale' and 'movement'. wanted it to look loose and leave the interpretation of shapes to the viewer. if you followed my uploading then you probably miss comcept7... it's still in progress and a more complicated pic. will follow later.

Almost a year later I appear to comment and note that this is very well done and I especially love the planet in the background and the entire space theme.

interpretation:

very interesting image, different from your usual style, not quite as good but still very nice. Would be good if you uploaded your Vue render in scraps some time to see what your working off of

Irgendwie scheinen die Schiffe nicht in dieselbe Richtung zu fliegen, wie es der Blur-Effekt vorgaukeln will. Ansonsten passt's .

If you wouldn't have added the blur I'd say it's a "dylan cole". Amazing piece mate, but the planes go just a little too fast for my taste

Something else... the further we go to the end of the horizon, the less blur we should see right? The kind of thing that you see in pictures taken from inside a moving car... In this piece it's actually the other way around: the buildings in the foreground have more detail than those in the background. I hope this is any helpfull. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I find this interesting as well!

Overall, I like the piece a lot, beautifull experiment

I like the colors and composition, the motion blue seems a little strange though.

good stuff. looks like the camera is a tad in front of the ships but going the same speed. which looks fassst. awsome

Looks good, but backwards. The motiong blur traditionally is the object moving in most cases, so this is a cool study to offset it.

Good job.

yup... cam is focussing on the ships. even if that's technically hard to do if you were live filming lol... but in digital... everything goes.

that's one thing i wanted to visualize. as if the cam is following the ships and keeps them in focus while the background gets confused by a natural motion blur to transport a sense of speed to the viewer.
