anyways, a bio:

Name: Tyger (Ty)

Species: Regit (It's a made up species fyi)

Height: 18" at shoulder. That's 1'6".

Gender: Female

Age: Child (she's a little less than 50 years old. Regits age very slowly, so in body and mind she is still very young. probably the equivalent of an 8 year old)

Powers/Abilities: Regits, by nature, have great magical abilities. Their powers, however, are suppressed at birth, so a normal Regit (like Tyger) can only access certain abilities. Shape-shifting is the main power they possess. Seeing as how she isn't well trained yet, however, Tyger can only shift into dog-like and bird-like animals, often with strange results. She also can't shift her fur color yet, so whatever form she takes will have her general fur color and pattern. Also, as her wings suggest, she can fly. Although Regits are generally canine-like in shape, their bones are hollow, which allows their wings to carry them great distances.

Strengths:
-Shape-shifting
-Sharp claws/teeth
-Climbing/flying
-Smart, learns quickly-same trick won't work twice on her
-Fast

Weaknesses:
-Hollow bones (easily hurt by physical attacks)
-Easily distracted
-Doesn't know land (since she doesn't know most of the plants and animals, she'll be nervous and wary of them until she learns more about them, including things that creatures from the normal world would know, like birds and squirrels and oak trees)
-Limited Shape-shifting (shifting requires a lot of energy, so it's not used often, and it leaves the user a bit winded and tired)
-Limited Flying (Ty's not a strong flier yet, so she'll only fly short distances or glide)

Fighting style: Ty is in combat training, so she knows a thing or two about fighting. Since she's small and not too strong yet, her main style will be evade and trick. She can set up quite a few nasty traps, so watch out! She's also pretty quick (although it's nothing special, just a bit above average), and she's good at watching an opponent and adjusting to their style of fighting, so she's great at evading attacks. Her senses aren't fully developed, however, so any super fast movement or sneak attacks she won't be so good at noticing in time to evade. She'll also likely not go in for the kill, unless she's really pissed off at an individual. She's not one for killing needlessly.

Personality: Ty is very energetic and adventurous. She's also very curious. She loves to get into things and to learn as much as she can about everything around her. She's shy around new people, and is afraid of things she doesn't know. Once she tries something, however, she generally goes all in and enjoys it. She's very much for living in the moment and forgetting about the future. She likes to play games and solve puzzles. She's easily frustrated, however, and tends to give up on things if they don't go her way.

Back Story: Ty comes from a remote island somewhere in the pacific. It's a magical world, filled with strange creatures and plants. The dominant species on this island is the Regits. They live in tribes, and Tyger comes from the tribe that lives near the southern coast of the island. The tribes on the island are told that nothing lies beyond the great lake (ocean) that borders their land. In the Southern Tribe, they are also told not to wander past the forest, but no one knows why.

Ty grew up with a mother and a father who were held in high regards in the tribe, so much was expected of her and her siblings. Her family had a wary attitude towards her, however, because her father believes three to be an unlucky number, and she just so happens to have markings of three stripes all over. She was treated as an outcast of sorts until she met Pan, who was another outcast from the family of the High Leader (he's an outcast for another reason that I won't go into). They became friends, and currently their families are considering Bonding them (the equivalent of marrying) so they can forget the disgrace the pair brings to each family (once a Regit is Bonded, it bears no ties to it's former family, although most choose to remain as family).

So one day, while Pan and Ty were running around the forest, they came upon a most forbidden place-the edge of the forest! Ty, a bit nervous, told him they should turn back, but Pan, the ever pushy one, told her they should see what lies beyond, so they went. And they found a most strange place, filled with sunlight and dirt that was soft as snow and very light. And the Great Lake that bordered their lands! It was right there! Like kids in a candy shop, they ran around and played, and they found a message in a bottle, inviting Ty on a strange journey to a land that couldn't possibly exist. They couldn't read it (currently they only know the Regit language, although Pan knows a little bit of English and Ty knows a couple words of English), but they caught the jist of it, and Ty decided to go on the journey, although she didn't know quite what it was.

Other: Ty doesn't speak any language other than the Regit language, so she won't be able to understand what anyone's saying.
