Description
There is no frigate like a bookTo take us lands away.
~ Emily Dickinson
I was inspired to do something to support the wonderful world of books, and had that zebra and parrot sitting in my dA folder, again this came to mind.

I really like this, the only thing I would say to improve on is that there is a ton going on. I think it would have a bit bolder of an effect if it was a tad simpler. Other than that it's fantastic!

Thank you
It is quite busy I have to agree. That is the problem of using some backgrounds. If it's busy in the first place it tends to be busy when it's manipulated. I'll take that into account next time however. But it would not feel the same without the zebra, parrot and sparkles. Orginally there were going to be two other creatures in it (and owl and a cat). Now that would be busy.

oh yeah, I think it's mainly just the background that makes it feel really busy. The parrot and zebra are certainly needed for the piece, and the sparkles really add to it.

I'll try playing around with the layered file when my portable hard-drive is fixed. Perhaps blur the background slightly.

I LOVE THIS ONE!
I especially like the overlayed brown shade, and the sparkles. It gives it an old feel, but sort of a magical one at the same time.

Thanks again Rott
I wanted to get the antique/museum feel about it, so I put the golds and browns of the texture into the colour of the whole piece. I guess it worked xD
