This is the last of my prepped images for now, maybe in the future I'll have other stuff available but it doesn't look like that will happen for the moment. While these few pieces don't encompass the 8 months I worked on Sly its a nice highlight of some of my favorite pieces I worked on.This was one of the last projects I worked on for Ghosbot, my boss Alan asked me to design some henchmen for the following short. The boards started off with similar dogs to Mug Shot from Sly but I decided to veer them more towards Dobermen. The outfit was inspired by the Rocketeer and Star Trek, originally we had the characters with a darker shade of brown and red/black vests. I'm sure it was Roman who was our go to color guy made the right decision with the green vests, a great companion to Mugshots purple fur and blue ship backgrounds. Even though I had done multiple characters for Sly seeing this character extensively animated was a joy.
Alan was a big help with this design by giving me room to design but helping me along the way as we knocked out this last project. The best thing about working on Sly had to be working in Flash because you create assets for animators you know your drawings won't change that much. Sure animators will have to create new frames but it was very gratifying to see my characters very much how I drew them. I Hope you've enjoyed these Sly pieces, I know I enjoyed working on them.

The artstyle of this is so beautiful! As much as I like the first three Sly games' artstyle, I like this one a whole lot more. It reminds me of a TV show, specially when I watched Timing Is Everything. In fact, it'd be nice if they made an entire series and have it play on TV. It would make them a while lotta money. But anyways, amazing job, GhostBot.

I thought Sly was at the same height as them

I think he's supposed to be a bit shorter than the guards but I'd have to recheck the short. For this image I just lined them up and forgot about the height.

Fantastic work! Hopefully with the new movie coming out next year, Sony will make a fifth game as opposed to a remake of the first game like they're doing with Ratchet & Clank.

That short was great, can't say i saw that ending coming though, but next to that great work again on the whole thing i wish we could see more of your work on this, it is has been great to see the pieces that you did put up, and i can't wait to see art from the next project you work onΒ

Neither did my bosses for a while I think they changed its ending 3 or 4 times lol. Thanks and now that I think about it I might upload some process gifs. I'll have to whip them up and it will only be a few though.
