Dang, you must be psychic! That's what I was thinking about for part 2 of this series, but from a so-called 'worm's eye view'.

I would like to say, initially, that this work has drawn me for many reasons, and I will elaborate more finely in my review.
As a fan of your works, I regret in not having reviewed your previous ones though catching an eyeful of this only spurs my interest onward. Thematically, this is one of the very best and distinct works of the She-Hulk, not the exclusive Jen Walters/SH, but the concept itself I have seen in a long time. You have revitalized and realized a vision which I feel is much of what is lacking elsewhere in the fandom. You have created a undeniably feminine entity, but one that is very much that of a unabashed, monstrous amazon at play - a rendition which is so apart from the current consensus regarding female hulks, and all the better for it too. Your work explores the feminine but also gives form to what a gamma born alter-ego could be when so manifested in a woman. The ultimate result, as seen here to macabre but vivid and compelling effect, being a force which I feel is, maybe, more authentic overall. Additionally, the sub-genres seen here are strong, and aid in the impression this work leaves too.
Technically, this work is also great. Vivid style, rich colour, economy of space, texture abounds, emotive expression, narrative and a particular attention to detail in places (such as musculature and the colour differentiation of their feet) which is excellent in exploring this gamma state. In all, a memorable work which reinvigorated what the SH could have been and stands for with a interesting use of other genres to great effect too. Excellent work, though it leaves me curious in places... the question of how this... curious situation came about and what these women were once like remains to make me wonder .

Sir, I'm absolutely flattered and humbled at your kind words and your keen sense of observation in noticing those subtleties, those nuances, that make this particular character so much fun to draw!
I'm well aware of the fact that some people probably won't 'get' what I'm attempting to do with my approach toward She-Hulk fan art, and fan art in general. So it's quite refreshing to know that individuals like yourself do indeed 'get it', so to speak. Most She-Hulk fan art typically revolves around titillation; green-skinned glam models, green-skinned swimsuit models, or the ubiquitous topless or stark naked She-Hulk looking provocative and sexy. And I love it. I do enjoy the fantastic work of all these artists, both fan artists and professionals. But I'd like approach this genre from a different perspective. I'd like to explore the abstract with the She-Hulk, the surreal.
When you look at a character like the Hulk, his appeal to fans is typically not heroics (and I've never really considered the Hulk to be a hero in the truest sense of the word), or the angst between Banner and his alter-ego, his appeal to his fans is destruction. The Hulk revels in destruction, wrecking, destroying anything in his path before going about his merry way with absolutely no regrets or remorse. Quite often his rampages are unprovoked. The Hulk is the Id personified and magnified a billion fold, a representation of the Id in it's most primal, most uninhibited, most destructive and carnal, pleasure seeking form. A rampaging Id with green skin. Hulk fans throughout the years just LOVE it.
Why can't a female character ALSO be destructive? Unstoppable? Savage? Arrogant? It's seems to make some men uncomfortable to see female characters behave in such a way; like a HULK. I think many people (and even some comic book writers) believe the She-Hulk's main purpose is to be PRETTY, and non-threatening, which imho diminishes the character's status as a hero or a powerful being. But both men and women are totally okay with, and even enjoy, seeing the Hulk cause chaos and destruction with wanton abandon. Seeing the Hulk be POWERFUL. Are we to believe that raw, unstoppable power and incredible superhuman strength are solely male attributes? Because powerful, destructive goddesses like Pele, Kali, Durga, and Sekhmet certainly prove that premise wrong (in world mythology and religions, anyway).
I've always wanted to explore the "Hulk" in 'She-Hulk', as most fan artists tend to focus on the "She" in the character's name. Is this escapism? Fantasy? Absolutely! That's what makes this stuff so much fun to do! Awesome works like Richard Corben's Den are based on pure escapism!
Thank you for noticing the countershading on their bare feet, I didn't think anyone would catch that. As an attribute that many olive-skinned and tan-skinned people have, I think it stands to reason that a green-skinned person would also have that particular pigmentation: lighter palms and lighter bare soles. Also, I like to make my works "interactive" with the viewer in the sense that I usually don't explain the conflict, or who is the "good guy" or "bad guy", or who is right or wrong, it's up to the viewer to decide; thus, you've taken the artwork I've drawn, and made it your own, to a degree. Who is this unfortunate bloke that these two massive, half-ton women have laughingly trampled, and stamped on, and crushed into paste? Is he human? Or something other than human? Is he a machine? Why would they do such a thing? Did he provoke them? Did he deserve it? It's up to YOU to decide.
Thanks again for your review, and do stick around! This is just the beginning, a precursor for much more to come!
