Build: Taller and heavier than most AusWBs, Tiny's bloodline is heavily influenced by Irish Drafts, with a heavy Waler grandsire. She has a strong powerful body with an almost masculine amount of muscle and bone; she looks like she could bulldoze anything if she was so inclined, but her beautiful expressive eyes make it impossible to mistake her for anything other than what she is, a gentle giant. Conformationally, she's not perfect with a long back and blocky head, but she has a lovely top line and easy, if ponderous, movement.

About Tiny:
Overview - An unexpected purchase, her new owner Jason could not regret any impulse-buy less. Tiny is a perfectly adorable mare, with not an unkind bone in her body. She makes friends with everyone, and is quickly becoming the stable's favourite. She loves people, and is particularly soft with the children and vulnerable riders that visit. She'll follow stablehands around the fields and doesn't even need to be called in, she'll be at the gate waiting to come out, she'll even follow so politely that Jason doesn't even bother with a halter if there are no guests around. She makes a wonderful mother, attentive while allowing her foals to explore the world around them without hovering over their shoulder all the time.
With humans - Tiny is the softest most gentle mare that ever walked Australia’s orange-yellow earth. She never uses her size to push, bully or shove, and despite her size she seems to know exactly where she’s putting her feet. She’ll greet you with a warm nicker and a nuzzle without fail, and loves to just be with you. She can be trusted with anybody, even children. Hell, if babies had any sense of balance she could probably be trusted with them too. More than once Jason’s been tempted to get her to babysit his sister's kids rather than deal with the squealing monsters. Tiny is tolerant of everything, and objects to nothing. She’ll do everything that is asked of her unless it’s dangerous for her rider. She’s quiet and sociable, and seems to have a wry sense of humour that you can see in those kind brown eyes and is always pleased to see you.
With other horses - Tiny is an absolute darling with other horses. She’s great at calming nervous horses down, and always respects their personal space. She’s socially intelligent, and a pacifist. She’ll never start a fight and tensions between other horses seem to fade in her sphere of influence. She can be used to teach other horses manners, and is well respected. She is usually seen at the front of any herds that form in the larger paddocks, though she seems to rule by kindness rather than mare-ish authority. She is particularly doting on her foals, and understands when to be protective and when to let them have their freedom. Tiny can be a bit of a flirt with stallions, and calls to them across the paddocks when in season.
With other animals - Polite and somewhat curious, Tiny is tolerant of any animal that doesn’t act with intent towards her. She had no trouble with dogs and will happily let them weave between her legs while she works. She seems to collect chickens while grazing, and apparently makes a good perch; she’ll happily carry around chickens, cats and the occasional goat. The only animal that makes her act very out of character are snakes. If she sees one she will call out, as if sounding the alarm, and keep a distance from it while keeping it in sight. She will not allow any horses or humans near them, and if she has a rider when she sees one, it is the only time she will ignore a command to move away from the reptile. She will never spook, however, as even when presented with a snake she still keeps her decorum and calm.
Alone - Tiny doesn’t mind being alone for a while so long as she has food. As a broodmare she gets antsy when food isn’t available even if she isn’t eating it. She’s happiest with company, however, so generally she’s not left without company unless due to foal.
Stabled/boxed - Tiny is a dream to load and will willingly enter and exit a box without even batting an eyelid. She has good door manners when stabled and hardly makes a mess inside. She’s a surprisingly dainty eater considering the amount she can eat.
Out to pasture - If there’s grass underfoot, chances are Tiny will be grazing on it. If there are any staff in the paddock she’ll follow them around, and has a habit of touching her nose to your shoulder and sticking there while you walk. She hardly ever needs to be called in from the pasture as whenever you go to the gate to collect her, she’s already there as if she knew you were coming with that ever-present patient look on her face.
Grooming - Grooming Tiny can be time-consuming, her dark coat collects dust, but she seems to love it. Any excuse to be hugged! She’ll tolerate anything and will stand for hours whileyou plait and re-plait her hair. She makes a good practice dummy for people learning the braid. She seems to have a crush on the farrier, and will nicker to him the whole time he’s there. She seems to be one of the few horses that enjoys having her hooves clipped.
At work - Under saddle Tiny is a slow but dependable mount. Her trot is perfectly smooth and you can hardly tell when she’s in a canter. On the rare occasion you can push her to a gallop, but she’ll never get excited enough to do one voluntarily. She’s a favourite for riding bareback and she’ll happily carry multiple kids and pose for photos. She’s never been competed seriously; she has the looks and the power but she lacks the competitive instinct. She’ll never do anything that is remotely dangerous for her rider, and she’ll only take jumps when she knows her rider is ready. She’s perfect for hacks and school work, and is very responsive for beginner dressage riders. The work she loves the most however is lessons for nervous or disabled riders. She’s renowned for giving confidence back to riders with phobias, and even gets the occasional fan mail. As a broodmare, she could not be more perfect. She stands for every inspection, carries and delivers her foals with ease and has a spectacular temperament with foals at foot. She is very trusting of humans and never has she acted with any hint of aggression towards humans while she has a newborn. Jason is convinced that Tiny is destined to be the mother of champions.
