Description
Alias: Norman Polk, “Cameraman” (by Ally), “Projector Protector” (mockingly by Sammy)Species: Advanced Ink Monster/Camera Hybrid (formerly human)
Gender: Male
Age: 90 (yrs since creation), 46 (as Norman Polk prior)
Allegiance: Neutral (he doesn’t like anybody except the other employees and toons)
Weapons: Camera head (can be used for deadly head-butts if need be), reel tape (a good choking tool and chain), reels (projectiles and trust me, he has a lot of them)
Bio: Upon the destruction of the Ink Machine (or so Henry thought), Bendy and the other ink creations went into a hibernation state of sorts as the souls of the former employees and the demon himself were bound to the Machine so as long as it was intact, the curse would still be active. Unfortunately, the Machine held a hidden pentagram on its chassis rendering it indestructible but unknown to Henry, bound the man to it as well after he touched it, cursing him with the same type of immortality the ink monsters have (meaning he is forever stuck in his 60’s until the Machine is dead). However, 60 years later, the phenomenon known as the Allspark shattered its casing and pieces scattered throughout North America and one piece found its way between Detroit and Chicago, the old studio of Joey Drew. With the piece embedded in the middle of the pentagram, the Ink Machine's powers grew tenfold not only fixing the old toons but bringing out more enabled monsters who this time were exact to who they were said to be. There was a slight catch: since the Allspark was Cybertronian, its design emitted the same structure, turning Bendy and the toons into Cybertronian-based immortals.
Norman was resurrected but he still held on projector on his head though it no longer shined constantly unless he wanted it too. His formal attire before his supposed death had been fixed to fit his inky form, giving him a bit more dignity than previously and he seemed grateful enough for that. Using his camera as a relay to technology, the Projectionist also relies on it to show what he means and what he feels. He can display everything from simple icons to full-fledged videos, sometimes even movies which can be demonstrated in black and white or in color at his choosing.
Being a former spy among the studio using his projector to capture and record various tidbits around to keep Joey informed, he’s incredibly quiet and often frightening despite not wishing to scare people. Bendy told him at one point he should have come with a bell because he can appear and disappear with relative ease more so than any other ink creation. Apparently, Soundwave is like this too and both of them get along quite well because of these factors. At one point, Norman eventually allowed Bendy to use him as a personal informer just like Joey had him do but this time, he was rewarded greatly and the data he was collecting doesn’t affect the people he records.
The Projectionist also works in tandem with Sammy as he has developed quite a friendship with the Music Director. Originally, Norman hated him and his music but spending time with him over the same desires and revenge on Joey put a whole new concept of Sammy in his mind. They now frequently interact and exchange data to add perspective and adjust each other’s work accordingly to get their jobs done correctly. Bendy praises their teamwork because of this.
Personality: Norman was always calm and sometimes naïve, listening to Joey’s commands and not realizing how wrong they were. Now, he’s more cautious in trusting people as it turns out that’s what got him into the mess of his supposed death in the first place, thank you Joey. It takes a lot to persuade him to trust someone as evidence is required but once it is proven, he’ll become rather caring of their wellbeing and can become violent if a threat is present. He only protects whom he trusts.
Anxiety is also common to see in him if he is studied for a long period of time. He fears he’ll be a letdown to those that trust him and that will cause him to become stressed if he feels something is not good enough to present to his peers. There have been times he overcomplicates things because of this. He is also hard-working and crafty with what he does, using his surroundings to adapt to any situation and not stopping until the deed at hand is completed.
There are times when he has been known to be clingy, especially to Sammy when he gets a panic attack which nobody really blames him for. If something keeps going wrong for him or he is overwhelmed, Norman will desperately try to find company knowing they can maybe help him. There have been instances of Norman getting too close for comfort during an attack which makes others like Sammy kind of unsure how to make him keep his distance but still provide the comfort needed. Then there’s times when Sammy just gives up and lets the Projectionist stick to his arm like a baby koala.
Likes: Sammy’s partnership and emotional guidance, the support of his peers, Casey (finds the train adorable whereas Sammy does not), Allison Angel (he likes her defiant and brave personality), animals, recording bloopers among the studio crew, the tricks he can perform with his double jointed limbs, vegetables (he’s a vegetarian despite he can’t eat anymore), Henry (unknown in what way)
Dislikes: People using his projector as a TV screen while he sleeps (it is possible for him to not know), Joey Drew, the Sheep (perpendicular to Sammy’s view of them), PETA, animal cruelty, racist parties, graffiti on his projector, meat, inconsideration of his process to film and time his videos, dead things, Bendy’s obsession with Bumblebee (it gets annoying to others too but him mostly)
Weaknesses: His camera lens is very fragile, breaking it would nearly blind him and cause pain until it is fixed. The reels on his backside are also delicate so rotating them too quickly or attempting to pull them out would result in immediate hostility and vicious roars. He originally had a very bad neck injury that was the result of his death when Joey placed the projector on his head and the weight snapped it hence the wobble he had for over sixty years. Striking his neck just below the supposed area where the skull would start can almost bring him down to his knees if not immediately.
Strength: He’s been noted to be strong enough to throw Bertrum’s carnival ride equipment a good distance as long as he has room to swing it around. Unlike most others, he requires momentum to lift objects but otherwise can drag them with relative ease. As a human, he was one of the physically weakest so despite the upgrade per his curse, he still can’t do certain weight classes. Instead, he relies on speed and intelligence.
Intelligence: Norman is a computer whiz and filmography expert as well as occasional mechanic of cameras and various set equipment. He is a genius organizer and spymaster but isn’t necessarily the hacker of the ink family though he knows how. That position belongs more to the Sheep as an underrated talent of theirs. He often can crack codes quickly and efficiently, and he can rig any technological component to be his eyes and ears of whatever area he needs to monitor.
Speed: Although he mainly walks, it is possible for him to run up to 32 MPH but with his supposedly broken neck, it can cause him pain. He will resist the pain though if running is required to complete an objective. As a spymaster, he’s a lot faster crawling on ceilings which he has been known to linger on to get the drop on someone. He’s also an excellent navigator and judge of direction so it’s possible for him to corner his victims in any given complex with a fast pace.
Endurance: He is not very resistant to much retaliation unlike Sammy. However, he can withstand direct physical assaults, taking enough punishment to knock out or maybe even kill a few men but after a while, he may start to cave from the strikes. He tries to not be confrontational towards enemies and instead take his advantage by sneaking attacks and retreating to attack at a different angle.
Skill: An ever-so-present spy, Norman is incredibly unpredictable when his presence is unknown. This is in account to his previous encounter with Henry where he was less stealthy and ended up dying after being struck down by Henry’s axe. Since then, he learned how to stay hidden and keep the element of surprise. He is also a brilliant puzzle solver which he uses to help Sammy on heists for the studio and overrun technology to his advantage, allowing him to monitor everything around him to prevent attacks from enemies close by.
Theme Song: Between Heaven and Hell (Rob Saffi)

Casey lll, the Sheep, and Little Ally Doll belong to me.
Notes: Norman was deaf as a human and Joey hired him not just because he was good with cameras and managing the films and cartoons, he was resilient to the ear-splitting noise of the machines as well as the Ink Machine itself so he was often asked to help fix and cater to the Machine as an extra feat. The deafness was somewhat cured with integration into the Projectionist but the sound comes rather old timey even in modern days.
