Quick question... what do you use for these sketches... I keep looking at the line value and I am guessing you might be using painter or photoshop... but I suppose there could be some manipulation to get them out of your sketchbook...

hm... just looks odd to me for some reason... I can never get anything pencil to come out like that with my scanner for some reason

When I scan my sketches I adjust the levels in Photoshop to make the linework darker. It tends to make them look like ballpoint pen.
