Every wolfen warrior is trained to be a protector foremost and then a "ghost" if skilled enough. The last war that required the ghosts became known as "The Bloodless War" 500 years ago.

The Bloodless War started because the Wolfen clan was freeing slaves of every race from the human kingdom. After several humiliating attempts to bring the slaves back, the king proposed an all out war to exterminate the wolfen menace. Before the campaign was put into action, the princess fled her kingdom to warn the wolfens of the impending attack. She wanted a diplomatic solution before there was bloodshed. The Supreme Alpha convinced her that as long as there were weapons in her kingdom, diplomacy was impossible. He offered a different approach.

The following day, 200 wolfen ghosts and 2,000 wolfen warriors secretly surrounded the kingdom. At dusk the wolfen infiltrated the city quickly and quietly sedating the sentries. Then they raided armories and secured every barracks in the castle. By morning there were no weapons and every high ranking officer was hog tied in the main hall under guard. The king woke up that morning with the his daughter and the Supreme Alpha sipping tea waiting to discuss the terms for his surrender.

During times of peace, the Supreme Alpha organizes his ghost to provide free security between villages. This helps keep them sharp and humble as they escort caravans through the treacherous woods of Beltaric. Any bandits they find on their travels are dealt with harshly.

Altsoba is a strict warrior and one of the best ghosts in the Wolfen clan. Her skills in archery and hand-to-hand combat know no equals. Leadership skills on the other hand are very lacking. She has zero people skills when it comes to dealing with human or wolfen. She would prefer to be alone for most of the time. Her job prevents that from ever happening.
