Description The uniform she's wearing is the formal attire of a military pilot on her world. The symbol on the right of her top is her family crest. It carries significant influence as the family that created the first airship over a millennia ago. The symbols on her wrist band indicate her flight time, simulated kills, and actual kills of enemy pilots. When saluting, the right forearm is brought over the chest to bring their record front and center.

Well done! So that's what her feet look like. I've wondered that for a bit.
Oh cool! I like how they do their salute and show off their kills.

Why has that been a burning question?! XD First Rebel and now you.

Thanks. I should probably come up with a Kraken kill medal since modern Sharkfights are rare.

I don't know. I've drawn her quite a few times and her boots are very square at the end so I've always wondered what her feet where like. For a while I thought she could have had hooves. I had no idea and it became a mystery. XD

That would be cool.

Note to self, create a hoofed alien for a side character. Maybe a centaur.

Not fair! I wanted a centaur alien!!!! They would fit right in next to the Gryphons! XD
Some hoofed aliens would be cool.

I just had a crazy/good/terrifying idea. Since I haven't finalized my preying mantis influenced peaceful tech race, I could make it part Centaur, part mantis, all creepy. Since the mantis already has four legs, it shouldn't be that hard to convert them to a horse/insect hybrid.

Nice. What do her feet look like? I don't think you've ever drawn her barefoot.

I added her barefoot on the left. Also added the missing pink patch in her hair along with a couple black lines in it.

Nice. I wonder if her paw pads are softer than most animals, which is the reason she wears shoes.

About the same. The boots are necessary on the hot concrete on runways, hazardous material, and falling objects. The formal wear uses the boots out of convenience whether than have another pair of shoes.

Ah, it would make sense on hot runways.
That makes me wonder if species that go barefoot would use different material for roads and such. Hmmm.

Just my personal preference: after working in a factory and going through ROTC, I have a hard time seeing any alien race that went through an industrial revolution not wearing shoes.

Good point. I think only one of seven or so species in my universe wears shoes. Granted, Chix are arboreal, so it'd be hard for them, Lazakal, Torfs, Gorkam, and Varsillian never got much tech on their own, so no industrial revolutions there, and Elbas, well, maybe they should have shoes, but they don't.

I have five so far. Two insectoid races in the Alliance with durable exoskeletons. The other three are part of the Consortium. The vampiric snakes, a primitive bat race that are used as slaves, and the dinosaur aliens conscripted into their crude military.

Interesting. My aliens have only been star-travel capable for a few centuries, so there aren't any slave races, yet.

Thanks. I've never drawn her barefoot, but she has two large center toes flanked by two smaller toes. Each with a small claws and black pads. I didn't think drawing more revealing swimwear was necessary for the story or character.
