Oh Chaos, this is beautiful. The colors and prefectly blened together. Shadow looks a more deep, dark blue instead of black, which is nice with the reds. The sky is gorgeous and the clouds are stunning. There isn't too much blood, but just enought so that everyone sees the situation. It shows that death has been, and is still, there. They buildings are cracked, but not down showing that the city hasn't give up yet. The way Shadow's ring is shattered tells me he's done fooling around and wants this to end. And he'll do anything to make it end. Plus, although he is hurt and everything is looking bleak, he will recover, stand and fight. I think that, in the picture, Shadow is the last ray of hope for this city. And he's not giving up any time soon.
Because I am a fangirl, I must also add: I LOVE THE WAY YOU DREW HIS TEETH!!
And, though it pains me to do this, there are three minor things wrong with the pic. MINOR! His hover shoes have a black strip on them. There are no red stripes on his tail or his back quills. Please don't kill me!

I like this one better, because you can see the story there, and you can sort of make something up. The other one just sort of desturbed me and even with the backstory, didn't help place the amount of blood splatter. Uh.. but anyway. I enjoy this one.
