Description
This is the second work from the Russian watercolor marathon "Air and Distance in Watercolor". When I started the second lesson I was sure in advance that I would not succeed: firstly, my attempts to portray urban architecture could be only described as "pathetic"; secondly, I hate the "earth" - the gray-brown shades in which the second lesson was solved by the teacher; thirdly, I had to paint this work on non-watercolor paper and pigments behaved unpredictably. So the catastrophe was inevitable. And I decided that I would just have fun - I will not repeat after the teacher but I will do everything in my own way. I will take other colors, I will make accents in other places, I will not darken the tower, and if the colors around tower diffuses - well, I'll just make a solar halo around ))))) And you know what - I really, really, really like the result! I've got a warm fairytale town on the eve of autumn, warmed by the sun and the last warmth. And enchanted tower at the center of the town just glows with sun and magic I'm so glad and happy!

Когда я приступала ко второму уроку марафона «Воздух и пространство в акварели», то заранее была уверена, что у меня ничего не получится: во-первых, мои попытки изобразить городскую архитектуру иначе как «жалкими» не назовешь; во-вторых, я терпеть не могу «землю» - серо-коричневую гамму, в которой был решен второй урок; в-третьих, писать «Архитектурную панораму» предстояло на не акварельной бумаге, на которой пигмент ведет себя непредсказуемо. В общем, катастрофы было не избежать. И я решила, что я просто оторвусь на этой работе - не буду в точности повторять за Ильей, а сделаю все по-своему. Возьму другие цвета, сделаю акценты в других местах, не буду затемнять башню, а что свет вокруг нее расплывется - так я просто сделаю вокруг солнечный ореол ))))) И знаете что - мне очень-очень-очень нравится результат! У меня получился теплый сказочный городок в преддверии осени, весь согретый солнцем и последним теплом. Я довольна! ))))
