Description
These two were the most difficult Zygote's I've done. When I was finished, I figured they were either the most ambitious strips I've completed, or the most pretentious. I still haven't figured out which. This is the sort of shit I come up with after I've done too many drugs and haven't slept in days. (lying discalimer: I don't do drugs. I'm a good boy. Really)Related content

I'm astonished that you could put so much detail in each panel, and yet make the designs simply speak for themselves by sheer economy of line and contrasts.

Thanks! It's definitely a challenge to put just the right amount of detail without making it too cluttered.

Thanks! They whooped the hell out of me! On another note, it looks like I won't be making the Mastodon show, dammit! I'm bummed!

I'll have to check it out. I have their last one, which is pretty good, although a lot of the songs tend to sound similar (I prefer eclectic heavy bands like Mastodon and Dog Fashion Disco).

I was pretty happy with how these turned out (even if they're full of occult symbolism that most people won't catch, or care about). I tried to have them make some sort of sense even if the reader isn't familiar with the Tetragrammaton or the Western Esoteric Tradition.

Nice work once again. I love the illustrations. I have nothing against the write-ups but somehow I'd have preferred it without. But I like the write-up as well .. Anyway.
I like the way you substituted a skull for a coin or disc.
I'm glad it's a lying discalimer. Otherwise I'd worry

I have a whole tarot deck I've done that I haven't posted yet where I change the elemental weapons: wands to vajras, cups to grails, wands to caducei (is that the plural of caduceus?) and disks to escutcheons (kind of a ceremonial shield). I've been using the skull to represent the earth element for a while, usually in conjunction with an escutcheon. As for the write up, I probably shouldn't post when I'm high. Oh, well...too late now. Hopefully my mom doesn't read it.

Ah, I see you're also into Burroughs.
Writing when your high, makes for interesting reading. Have you read any Rimbaud? If not, check my journal. His writing influenced both Crowley and Burroughs. And he was also into magick. Mainly Levi.

I've heard of Rimbaud, but haven't read any of his stuff. I'll check out your blog- thanks for the lowdown.
