Description
My depiction of Malfurion approaching Varok Saurfang, during the battle of Astranaar before Battle for Azeroth, from the novella "A Good War" written by Robert Brooks. This is what happens when you anger the wrong Night Elf!Related content

And then Saurfang throws his axe at him again, and Malfurion gets knocked out, again.

Not now, now Malfurion manages to put Saurfang KO. Only later, Saurfang attacks him from behind.

What happened? Is this because of Teldrassil burning? I'm a bit behind with the lore - really not interested in BfA - but this one still makes me curious.
Well done scene btw!

Not yet, Malfurion is upset because of the Astranaar's assault. Angry, he reaches Saurfang and he summoms his powers. The burning has not yet happened. And thank you!

Darnassus was burned down, survivors have fled to Stormwind

This happened later, after the assault of Astranaar, right?

Yes, Varok did hurt Malfurion in the scenario but did not finish him as he sees it as cowardly, much to the dismay of Sylvanas.
