Keepin tabs on Battle Artist for a chance to join back in and saw that their workin' with a different inked version of this awesome piece by Jimbo Salgado for this round and realized 'holy hannah' ive never posted my colors of Troy's inks! yikes! This was one of my favorite pieces last year!

i love what you did with the fire. I didn't handle it as well. was that a brush or texture or did you freehand make that effect? Whichever, it's kick ass

It was a custom brush I worked on just for flame effects. Unfortunately about a month after I finished this piece my comp crashed and I lost it (along with almost all my own brushes). I've gotten close to having one similar since, but I'm afraid I'll never get it just right again
