This one was painted for a friend of mine. I can't seem to get enough of painting trick or treating kids in skeleton costumes. I have another one that I will put up here when I can find it.

I like this a lot! The face looks very good (it's one of the first things I noticed) and the kid seems a little down. I also like the fact that you didn't use pure black for the outfit itself, because black usually makes things 'flat'. Together with the texture of the canvas, it turned out really well!

There is no black paint in my arsenal. Just French Ultramarine and Burnt Sienna. I used a really stripped down palette for this. Five colors and white. It's good practice for color mixing and you can get every color you could want out of it. Glad that you like it.
