Description
A digital painting that I did to practice value and color range. Also, I wanted to do something spring oriented so I figured, why not a picture of a lady perched on a scroll that roughly says, "Spring finally takes flight" (I think)? It was great practice and I'm glad that it's finally finished. Enjoy!Materials: Pencil 2H, 4H for sketch.

Done on Photoshop CS5.1
Time: Roughly 15-20 hours

The background is a bit distracting though.

I couldn't agree more. The background is a little over-detailed and it takes away from the central character and her hawk. It was hard finding a balance between foreground and background with this one.
