Description

Relatively recently, I got the task to draw an animation of Frisk, which climbs on the sofa. Actually, before that moment I had never draw people scrambling somewhere, but I agreed to take it on to try something new for myself. You can see the result above. And now I’ll tell you a story about how I drew this.

To begin with, after I got the assignment, I went to my bed and tried to climb on it like a little child would do. I did this process a couple of times and noted in my head the phases that I went through to climb up. After that, in the program for drawing and animation, I drew the first frame, on which the child stands in front of the sofa, and the last, on which Frisk is already on the sofa, and began to break these two frames into intermediate ones. The animation style was inspired by HeartBound and DOA687 (here’s his DeviantArt and Tumblr). In about a couple of hours or less, I finished with the main animation, and by the evening everything was completely ready, since I was also asked to draw a backpack and Flowey the flower on the character’s back.

I liked this animation so much that I decided to share it with you. I hope there will be more such things in the future.
