So I don't think I've ever posted one of these! An actual comparison from where I started over 2 and a half years ago to where I'm at now. I'd like to say it's all the hormones, but they only cover a tiny bit of the effort it takes to hit your transition goals. Know that it's not a magical process that's going to fix everything. Doing this sucks. It sucks a lot. Only do it if it's absolutely necessary. Besides that be prepared to cry a ton and get yourself a good support system. You need people to help you through the rough stuff.

Yeah, my 1.5 year mark was a real awkward point. I started voice training at the 2 year mark and I wish I'd started sooner. If you want a good place to start with that, YouTube 'Aurora Andrews voice training'. She does a great job of giving you a good foundation so you don't sound stupid forcing your voice. I'd also recommend listing what you want to change about yourself and taking steps to do just that π

There was a voice training class at my local center that was very inspiring to take! The issue is how to turn a free quickie training into dedicated progress. Thank you for the video tip since that could be a good next resource.

Well as for most people it was a bit of a challenge due to family and religion. Still I mainly view transitioning more as a requirement for survival and less of a "just being me" type thing, even though I suppose it is that technically. To be fair I view transitioning pretty differently from the general community ^_^"
