I really do love this picture. The background is really good with the emotion of the picture, and I love the expressions. It does look like he/she (sorry, I don't know D: ) is standing on a hill or some type of slant because of the foreleg positioning. I'm not sure if this was the intent or not, but oh well.
All in all, this is amazing. c:

Oh wow, this is kind of really sad. A person can really feel that that face is haunting him, even with the precious smile. It's very texture heavy, and in some places I can't quite see the cat's legs (mostly the hind legs, where they're more heavily shaded) but it does give it a stilted, memory like feeling.
I love the paws, especially the closest one, however it kind of looks like he's on a hill? The legs closest to us should be bigger and farther out if he was standing straight, I think, however the pose does add to the stilted feeling.

This is very good! The whole picture reaches out and tells a story, I love what you did with the textures and shading along with the background. One thing I would change would be to make the faces in the top right and bottom left slightly more visible. I sort of had to squint to see them.
All in all, very good work. :3
