⌜ɪ’ᴠᴇ ʙᴇᴇɴ ᴄʜᴀsɪɴɢ sɴᴏᴡ ғᴏʀ ᴀs ʟᴏɴɢ ᴀs ɪ ᴄᴀɴ ʀᴇᴍᴇᴍʙᴇʀ…⌟
Archer was born in New Haven, CT as Vivienne Ashley Waters, and moved with his parents to Eugene, OR when he was just five years old. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest instilled in him his love of nature; of wild air and rain on forest floors and endless trees and the smell of water. His childhood wasn’t out of the ordinary in any real way—though the stumbling blocks of intermittent bullying, gender dysphoria, and inherited depressive and anxiety disorders impacted him—especially in his teens; he started self-harming at age fourteen and was put on medication and into therapy by his concerned parents. It helped only somewhat. Fortunately, when he was fifteen he stumbled upon the youtuber skylarkeleven—Skylar Kergil—and was able to realize and start to come to terms with his gender identity. He finally got up the courage to come out at age sixteen.

Things started getting better for Archer after coming out. His parents were very understanding and supportive; he was able to get on T and start transitioning fairly quickly. He legally changed his name and gender marker at age eighteen, got top surgery not much later. With his gender dysphoria addressed, his depression and anxiety were much less severe—and Archer was able to fully experience and dedicate himself to his love of nature and adventure again. The distant ocean was calling and never one to do things in halves, Archer packed up and moved all the way across the country, back to his birth city of New Haven, CT. He got a job at the port and started renting a condo across the road from Nathan Hale Park—and the breeze off of the harbour waters was exactly what he needed.

Archer loves his city, loves the smell of salt in the air, loves hiking East Rock and biking or bussing to the New Haven Green. Though he misses how easily accessible the wilderness was in the PNW, he can’t imagine being anywhere else than where he is now. New Haven is home to him, is his city. And whether he’s blasting Alesana or Fleetwood Mac or Sienna Skies through his headphones at 1am, unable to sleep, there’s nowhere he’d rather sing or scream along than from ankle deep in the shallow water at Lighthouse Point. He calls his parents every Saturday, just to check in. He reads endlessly and is slowly trying to teach himself to play the acoustic guitar. He drinks a little too much coffee and might be a little low on sleep, has yet to kick his habit of reaching for cigarettes when stressed—but overall? He’s doing well. He’s happy. He’s home.

Finally finished my boy up!! It took forever though so I have exactly 0 energy now to write his bio or a good description,, I'll update with everything when I'm not Exhausted edit: I did it! Archer's an aspirational sort of version of me. He's based around what I believed my future self would be like when I was a kid, what I believe my life could have been at current under different circumstances, and I really hope to "grow into" him being a 'sona of mine. He's me either without trauma or having worked through it, without anxiety or having conquered it. I share his morals and his love of nature & the environment. He lives in the city I was born in, walks and hikes the parks I knew as a kid. He owns his gender, accepts himself, loves himself and his life. I really want to be more like him.
