While you are right Blossomfall is fully grown, I disagree with you about Millie's scolding being justified. If someone for your family went missing and came back injured, would your first course of action be to scold them?

Millie doesn't have grounds to assume that Blossomfall was playing around, unless she saw her go into the tunnel. For all Millie knows, Blossomfall and Ivypool could have been captured by twolegs, attacked by a badger, or faced other types of danger. Millie isn't even mildly concerned when Blossomfalll returns to camp injured. If someone in my family came home injured I would give them medical attention and ask what happened.

Blossomfall doesn't want to be treated like a kit, she wants to be loved. All people regardless of age needΒ to feel loved.

I do not think it is disrespectful at all for Blossomfall to question whether her mother would care if she died. People who feel unloved question whether or not their family cares about them.

I do not deny that Briarlight needs extra attention. However, the fact that Briarlight is paralyzed doesn't erase the fact that Blossomfall has emotional needs. Blossomfall may be healthy but, she could have an emotional break down as well.

Parents don'tΒ discipline adult children. It is ironic that Millie tells Blossomfall to grow up, but then treats her like a kit. Adults don't scold other adults. Firestar is leader, it is his job to discipline warriors. Once a child has reached adulthood he or she is no longer under his or her parents' authority.

The first order of business should have been to take care of Ivypool and Blossomfall's injuries. The second order would have been to find out exactly what happened. The third order would be for Firestar to give an appropriate punishment.

Millie doesn't scold, she belittles her daughter. Lets take a closer look at what she says "Where have you been?' Millie snapped. 'You've wasted a whole morning when you could have been hunting!'...'Your sister would give anything to be able to help feed the Clan!"( Hunter 254-255). Warriors: Omen of the Stars: Sign of the Moon.

First off! Millie has NO IDEAΒ what her daughter did the whole morning. She has no way of knowing that Blossomfall and Ivypool were in the tunnels. She was in camp!! For all she knows they may have been hunting, attacked by a fox, captured by twolegs. She drew a conclusion without evidence!!

If a loved one came home injured would you yell at them for not doing chores? It was insensitive of Millie to bring up Briarlight's condition. Think of how upsetting it must be for Briarlight to hear her mother use her condition against her sister. She must feel like her family is coming a part over her injury. It is Not Bossomfall's fault that her sister is injured, Millie had no right to take her grief out on her daughter.

The situation with Briarlight is tense enough without Millie taking her grief out on other cats! To be fair, I have had the experience of dealing with ill family members, people who act like Millie make the situation more emotionally stressful for the rest of the family.

Blossomfall is already dealing with guilt over being jealous of her sister as well as grief "I can't bear seeing her suffer and I know Briarlight would give anything to be better and whole again..."But I can't help what I feel, and that proves I'm not a good cat.'...'A good cat wouldn't be jealous of an injured littermate. So that's why I've ended up I the Dark Forest."(Hunter 246) Warriors: Omen of the Stars: Sign of the moon.Β  She literally sees herself as bad and deserving of going to the Dark Forest.

What Blossomfall and Ivypool did is dangerous, I am not denying that. However, we can clearly see Blossomfall is not in her right state of mind. Sort of like Hollyleaf at the end of Warriors: Power of three. Hollyleaf also knew the tunnels were dangerous and went in there. Ivypool went after Blossomfall out of concern "If I'm going to save the Clans, will I have to let Blossomfall continue and maybe die there?"(Hunter 216). Warrior: Omen of the stars: sign of the moon. While not the smart thing to do, her heart was in the right place. She should have gone to Thornclaw and told him that Blossomfall went in the tunnels. Ivypool should have gone to Firestar and told him what was going on about the tunnel incident and Blossomfall feeling unloved.

What makes you think it is o.k. to publicly humiliate and degrade someone? Why is it necessary to humiliate someone to discipline them? Why couldn't disciplinary action be taken after her injuries were patched up?

When Graystripe and Firestar caused trouble as junior warriors Bluestar handled their punishments privately.

Where do you get the idea that no one else would have corrected Blossomfall? How do you know Firestar would not have had a talk with her about her behavior?

Throughout the series, it is the Clan leader who disciplines junior warriors not their parents.

In Warriorsower of three: Outcast, he punishes Berrynose and Birchfall for going over the Shadowclan Border by making them do apprentice duties.

In Warriors: New Prophecy: Midnight, he punishes Squirrelpaw for being disobedient.

The reason we have not seen him punish his warriors much in The Omen of the stars series is because he hasn't had a reason to.Β

When was the last time a warrior was very disobedient, besides Ivypool and Blossomfall going into the tunnels?

When have you ever seen a parent discipline an 18 or older child? Do parents ground their 20 something children? Have you ever seen a parent scold a 40 year old child in public? Do your parents scold each other? Do your teachers scold each other? Give me a real life example of an adult scolding another adult!

If a family member came home injured would your first instinct be to yell at them or give them medical attention? When is it appropriate to yell at someone who is hurt? Any medical professional will tell you that yelling at an injured person is a bad idea because it causes them to become stressed and could lead to them further injuring themselves. You have told me that you think Blossomfall needed to be disciplined but, you have not explained why you think it is rational to yell at an injured person or why disciplinary action couldn't be taken after her injuries were patched up.

Both Ivypool and Blossomfall made the decision to go into the tunnels. Shouldn't Ivypool also be corrected?

How did Millie know Blossomfall was being reckless if she was in camp the whole time? Does she have some sort or power that allows her to see things going on out in the forest?

Minor wound? It almost killed her "...the tortoiseshell warrior was lying motionless on the floor with rocks scattered around her...Blossomfall scrabbled with her paws, raising her shoulders off the floor, and then collapsed with a whimper of pain. 'Everything's whirling,' she complained,..."(Hunter 245)- Warriors: Omen of the stars: Sign of the Moon.

According to you mothers constantly fusing over their warrior kits is a waste of time. By that logic it is also a waste of time for Millie to fuss over Briarlight because she can't do anything to help her. Millie could have let the medicine cats deal with Blossomfall's injury and then disciplined her privately.

Mmm. It was the same for me when I was in this one fandom and drew fanart of it and the people commenting would just screech at me about how much they loved these "characters" in it. Those pieces I drew are my most viewed stuff which makes me want to throw myself out a glass window.

I'm not in the fandom anymore. I wouldn't necessarily say I regretted it but the fanbase was is very obsessive and terrible. I honestly sometimes debate if I should disable comments or delete those drawings I made.

I think Blossomfall deserved that. In my opinion she is such immature drama queen. Also, I understand why she cared maybe way too much for Briarlight. If your child got paralyzed then you would maybe give them more attention, right? C'mon, I think she reacted to that like typical mother.
Even though I don't think she did a right thing, I like her.
