I've noticed there seems to be some sort of general conception amongst Zero fangirls that he has this nicely groomed head of long, flowing locks. But when you consider his line of work. . . not to mention just how damn frizzy his hair looks. . . does he REALLY put that much attention into grooming his mane? I mean, looking at that thing, he's got to have tangles and split ends up the wazoo, and the sheer amount of hair he'd have to groom would make it a total pain in the ass to keep it so nice looking, so my verdict? Zero doesn't do SQUAT with his hair in 21XX aside from probably wash it every once in a while. (22XX Zero on the other hand. . .)Related content

Somehow, I don't think that's actually "hair".
From the way it was designed in the past, my head-canon was that it was actually a concealed weapon (in plain sight). A very...clever, deceptive weapon.
