I don't think the pictures are too spoilery for people who haven't read the book yet, but OH GOD DON'T LOOK HERE THERE'S SPOILERS:Okay, so anyway, I don't want to go on a rant, but I will say the ending of Mockingjay kinda suprised me. I planned on doing a few full-page drawings, but I couldn't concentrate long enough so I ended up making a ton of little ones. I was distraught. or something. What a sad ending.
Anyway, these are super messy and silly, but I needed to remind myself of the happy/awesome parts of the book to distract myself from the sad parts.

It's a very good drawing, but Prim was blonde and katniss was blackhaired. i'm sure of it. Great expressions though.

i read the first two and left the last one 'cause i heard it was really sad! does her little siste actually die! ): and i was on gale's side i thik peeta is an idiot! just saying, and i love your colouring!

The last one is very sad, but it does get across some pretty strong messages. I'd say it's worth a read, although it'll definitely be hard to stay dry-eyed

I really love these! It heals the wounds left by reading Mockingjay... for real, I died inside when I read it. Am I the only on?

I know what you mean about the sad ending. The whole point of the series was to save her little sister, and she ended up being killed less than two years later, anyway. Gave me nightmares about my sister being bombed for a week.

And yeah, I thought the ending was a huge downer - it had a bit of a hopeful ending, but overall the characters just seemed so traumatized...

I like the "always double-knot your shoelaces" picture. I thought that was a really sad but awesome part in mockingjay and no one ever draws it. Great!

I'm glad you like them! I think this is mostly watercolor, with some colored pencil and marker thrown in because my watercolors are pretty limited (although I could just be really bad at mixing paints

I loved the scene where Katniss went back just to get Buttercup for Prim <3 She looks bored poking the fire while talking to Peeta

I agree, the ending could of been elaborated a lot. In fact, I wouldn't of minded a fourth book, just so we could see how the government got restarted and Katniss and Peeta got together. But oh well, it was still a mostly-satisfying book. Thanks for the comment!

i looove finnick and annie. that part made me tear up a little. all the deaths were so depressing.
anyways, i love the bottom left picture. that part in the book was INCREDIBLE. she just started busting out things about peeta, and i was speechless for a couple seconds. i wanted to be all like, "OH SNAP. you SO love him!!!" but the part was so intense and bittersweet, what with the hatred and anger and such,

Katniss' crazy speech about Peeta had to be my favorite Katniss/Peeta moment, for exactly the reason you said. I think that's when she actually realized how much she really cared about him

I never thought about it, but yeah. I can totally see him having a beard in Mockingjay. He's sort of a mess, isn't he? I mean, he wanders the halls in a hospital gown, whining that he can't understand why no one will let him ride the hovercraft. I doubt he's still keeping a clean shave.

For some reason, giving him bags under his eyes and sharp cheekbones didn't seem to make him look messy enough - I'm glad you think the beard could work. Poor Finnick. And Katniss. and basically everyone.

I'm pretty sure Finnick is never described as having a beard, I just gave him one to make him look scruffy and unkept
