Description Caitlin Fairchild of Gen 13. The suit took a little time to get right - my only regret is that I couldnt get it shiny. Anyone have any tips on this?

Caitlin Fairchild is always a good choice for subject.
One of my favorite characters to see.

Thanks for sharing.

I say juggle it first and then you can set it down behind you.

For shine settings I generally use for my costumed characters in Poser are:

Specular_Color = White
Specular_Value = 1.00
Highlight_Size = 0.05

Given that this is drawn on a skin texture rather than an outfit per se, would that affect this?

Parts where the skin and outfit share the same body part such as the hips or neck, the skin would be shiny like the outfit.

The only way around that is to create a black & white texture that looks like a transparency map. Where the white portions are shiny (outfit) and the black portions of the map are dull (skin).

Would that not just make the legs transparent though?

Only connect the B/W texture map to Specular_Color and not to any of the transparency slots.

ah, you can put it there on the left.

about the shinyness. i dont know witch program you use. but if for ds or carrara its pretty easy. just selecte the properties of the surves (survese selection tool in ds3, otherwise the right item on the tree with carrara) and then in the shader properties increase reflection a little, and then shinyness.

or if you want it really shiny: select from the preprogramed shaders the glas, put the opacity back to 100% and change the color to your texture.

Well don't put that thing on my leg - anywhere else would be fine I guess.
I like green with red!
