Description
This is a second commissioned piece (posted with permission) of a trio of Felaryan giant, deep sea mermaids, done by the talented *Autumnology . Should she decide to open commissions again, I wouldn't hesistate to recommend her. In the meantime, please check our her gallery for more of her work!In this picture, the three sisters, Iarae (green), Talise (red), and Meriel (blue), have made their to the surface late one evening. Why they have done so is a mystery. There they encountered a wondrous sight, a brilliant green light hanging below a creature floating upon the surface. Iarae was particularly enthralled by the creature, since it closely mimicked the color of her own photophores. Staying below the beast, Iarae and Talise watch on in amazement as their younger sister, Meriel, takes a closer look. Will vore ensue?
As Meriel breaks the surface to see first hand what the top of the creature looks like, she is pleasantly surprised when she discovers an even tinier creature resting upon its back. Smiling happily to show she means no harm, she watches as the little figure reacts to her presence.

Everything else is my fault.
The three sisters do not appear in any stories I've written thus far, but I do have ideas for one or two in the future. The previous commission involving these three mermaids can be found here: Frolicking in the Deep.

This drawing makes me wonder 3 things:
1.How did a fisherman come across a luminescent anchor such as that and what did he plan to use it for?
2.How is the blue one the youngest when she has the more mature look on her?
3.I wonder what those TINY sharks are planning to do?

1. It's not an anchor, it's a light under the boat used to attract bait fish, which then attract the fish he's trying to catch. It's a very risky thing to do in Felarya's oceans, but in the story (which is not yet written), the village this fisherman is from is desperate for food.
2. Looks can be deceiving. You've never met someone you thought was older in appearance than they actually were?
3. It's hard to see, but there are schools of tiny fish near the mermaids' photophores. The bigger fish (and sharks) are preying upon those schools.

Aside from needing a new pair of pants, I think he's safe from harm. Meriel seems to have taken an immediate liking to him. The three sisters are more curious than anything else.

I figured that since those three are Deep Sea Nagas and have probably never seen a Human before.
