Description This is a second commissioned piece (posted with permission) of a trio of Felaryan giant, deep sea mermaids, done by the talented *Autumnology . Should she decide to open commissions again, I wouldn't hesistate to recommend her. In the meantime, please check our her gallery for more of her work!

In this picture, the three sisters, Iarae (green), Talise (red), and Meriel (blue), have made their to the surface late one evening. Why they have done so is a mystery. There they encountered a wondrous sight, a brilliant green light hanging below a creature floating upon the surface. Iarae was particularly enthralled by the creature, since it closely mimicked the color of her own photophores. Staying below the beast, Iarae and Talise watch on in amazement as their younger sister, Meriel, takes a closer look. Will vore ensue?

As Meriel breaks the surface to see first hand what the top of the creature looks like, she is pleasantly surprised when she discovers an even tinier creature resting upon its back. Smiling happily to show she means no harm, she watches as the little figure reacts to her presence.

Art by *Autumnology .
Felarya by =Karbo .
Everything else is my fault.

The three sisters do not appear in any stories I've written thus far, but I do have ideas for one or two in the future. The previous commission involving these three mermaids can be found here: Frolicking in the Deep.

It hasn't been canceled, but it also hasn't been developed or worked on very much. I have an outline for a story involving them leading up to this very encounter. Lack of free time (mostly) and lack of motivation (occasionally) have kept me from putting out many stories over the last year. I have one huge story that's probably 85% complete, a couple others that are roughly half finished, numerous outlines, and more ideas than I can shake a pen at.

Yeah, that's correct. Unfortunately, I have no idea when that will be written.
I have various notes and an outline as to what will take place at this point.

Wow, I've been out of the loop for a while! This is probably too late, but yes you can use my characters in your stories as long as they stay true to their personalities - in Meriel's case this isn't even an issue because I haven't written a story yet. The mermaid sisters are in general whimsical, playful, and aloof.

ya know?
they re pretty..but also they re sooo huge!!
if I were the man in that bout..I would be VERY scare....TOT

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

timing2 In reply to holahola01 [2010-04-23 17:30:17 +0000 UTC]

That's the general idea of the scene. Felarya, which is the world these mermaids call home, is home to a large number of giant creatures and most of them consider humans (and other smaller creatures) as little more than food. So you'd be right to be scared.

In this case, however, the mermaids intend no harm. They are merely curious. Of course, the little fisherman doesn't know that...

scaryy!!..
oh.. is there a comic or something about this..errr man-eatable word? O.o

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

timing2 In reply to holahola01 [2010-04-24 06:08:39 +0000 UTC]

There are a huge number of stories and drawings about Felarya. Be warned that many (but not all) of these works involve vore - which is the act of one creature eating another (be it human or otherwise) typically whole and alive. My own stories tend to be on the tamer side of things in that regard.

You should probably start by checking out =Karbo 's page here on , since he created the world. He has three Felarya comics/manga available (via lulu.com), though they do cost money. I believe he's posted some free pages in his gallery. His artwork should give you a good idea what to expect.

Next up, you should look in the #Felarya group. It has an ever-growing collection of art involving Felarya made by many, many contributors.

You can also check out the Felarya wiki , which has a wealth of information on the world, characters, creatures, areas, etc.

For myself, all of the commissioned drawings in my gallery and all of my stories are about Felarya. As for others, on my profile page, under my deviantID, you'll see a list of some Felarya writers that I recommend.

Thanks. Don't expect it anytime soon though. I have two very long stories involving my slug-girls that are being worked on currently. The mermaid story will be written - I just don't know when.

Warrior-of-Hope In reply to timing2 [2010-01-19 16:53:42 +0000 UTC]

Most likely, and why does he have a glowly jewel thing on the end of his fishing line?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

timing2 In reply to Warrior-of-Hope [2010-01-19 16:58:56 +0000 UTC]

That's not his fishing line. That's a light he's lowered into the water to attract bait fish.
