This is a Promo piece for a comic of mine called HUNTER that i am working on. Things have been a bit hectic with me and this comic but i am pushing ahead, and i will give you more details when i can. For now though, enjoy this mood piece of HUNTER!take care.

As cool as your characters are, what stands out most for me with this piece is the beautifully rugged and organic look of the background/foreground elements -- it has an almost Lovecraftian feel that really adds to the atmosphere of the piece.

I am really trying to make the characters and the environments one and the same.....while still trying to throw the viewers interest in all sorts of directions on the page. its a lot of work and i still have trouble meshing the bg's with the characters well, but thats why i am working working! I hope i did a decent job here though.

Oh, definitely man. The characters do look great and they share that rugged/organic feel of the background but it's the background that does it for me because all too often, comic artists will add tons of detail to their characters while completely skimping on the background elements. The thing I love about the background/foreground elements in this piece is that they are almost like a third 'character' of sorts -- this gives the pic a really great sense of atmosphere and while none of this is real it does feel very 'real' in the context of its own universe, the 'Kellyverse'
