Description This is something I drew for my friend and inker extraordinaire, Dan Davis, for an app he's developing to showcase his original comics. Dan and I have worked on many projects over the years, everything from Justice League Adventures to Ben 10 to Scooby Doo, but I think working on Dan's own characters might be the most fun we've had together. I can't wait until the app is ready and I can check out his comics!

Pencils by me, inks and color by Dan. Check out more of his stuff at [link]

This is really great work. There are references to Edgar Rice Burroughs and Golden Age comics. The character designs are excellent.

Thanks, although I can't take credit for the literary references or the designs -- it all comes from DanΒ Davis !

This is awesome! I miss comics like this. We've gotten entirely too serious.

Thanks! The credit should go almost entirely to Dan Davis, though. If only he wasn't so busy with inking work, maybe he could get around to developing some of these fun concepts.

By the way, I've always admired the work you did on that Working Methods story for John Lowe. Beautiful art and a very informative interview!

HAHA! Really? Dude, you and Terry were huge inspirations for me. Still are. That was such a great run! I was so happy to do the little work I did with Terry! He's a prince! So talented.

Thanks so much!

Same goes for Dan, his stuff with Mitch Byrd on Guy Gardner way back when was HUGE for me. HAHA!

Great...one more reason to need a IPhone...which I don't have.

That's some great publicity. I especially love the Steve Canyonesque Captain Luck. Hope it comes out soon. Does Dan have a DA site?

I saw that. Hopefully, you get to post more such artworks. If I could afford your rates, I'd pay you to do the same!

PS: Did you do any art on the Scooby Doo Mystery Inc?
