Astonishing . . . inspiring . . . and bleak, in a sort of kindly way

Absolutely wonderful. Reminds me of Dave Cooper's stuff (in your own peculiar, personal, and original way), which I love. Apart the story and the style, I bow to the way you use panels.

I suppose you can't ever truly destroy a thing in the multiverse. It always ends up somewhere...

jep, from dark star to epic poetry.
just watching the old Heavy Metal movie ... and this would have been great in it!
also in the comic book itself.

Brilliant!
I love the "Squa-tront" ref, the aliens seeing infinite regression

Yo Mr. Molloy!! Mr. Brown here.. it's been a while! How're tings in Melbourne? I've been checking out some more of your stuff.. been a while since I had a dose of your truly choice work. On the Bus rules, takes me back to the Sandringham Rd days of Mr. Unpronouncable.. I think I still have a copy. I'm so behind tho, maybe I'll see you in Melbourne in the not-so-distant future. Catch you later!

While having the two earlier strips provides some back story to the writer-guy, this last strip could totally stand alone. Quite trippy by the mid point, my favorite part being where the two aliens are revealed to be part of a comic.
What's the ring of fire supposed to be (in the alien's perspective) - a portal to the other world or their god (like the circle of light in Dante's Paradiso )?

This was interesting to look through, care to explain your inspiration or idea? Or is there an explanation on another page?

My inspiration came from writers block originally. I guess I wrote a story about not being able to write a story... and went through a process of rediscovering what the 'oint' of art was...

i've experienced fever deliriums as a kid, and they would mostly be piles of toothpick and a GIANT ball of earwax. the last panel reminded gave me the creeps, for real. could your portrayal of book piles be from deliriums too?
