Description www.gaysagainstguns.net/

I stand totally at the side of young heroes like Emma Gonzales, the queer lead organizer and face of the NeverAgain movement to stop Americas extreme love of guns and violence.

Gay people are disproportionately subjected to violence compaired to straight people.  And a lot of that will come in the form of gun violence.  The Pulse Nightclub massacre being the second largest mass shooting in the USA is the perfect example of why queer people must fight against violence!

You will NEVER stop violence with more violence and threats.  Those things only make a continued cycle of conflict becauise those who resent and loathe the other who use weapons and threats to control them will only make them more fanatical.

Example:  when this whole movement to ban assault weapons began, my brother who is very much in full support of easy gun access to everyone and keeps rifles around said that if any police were to try and come to our house to take away his semi-automatics, he swore that he would shoot them all and die in the gunfight.  THAT IS MADNESS!  I tried and begged him to realize that a life is not worth a gun, but I couldnt and he refused to speak about it.  It scares the hell out of me and I truly believe that someone like the NRA or radio talkshow hosts working on political agendas made him and the rest of my family this mad and illogical in their mindset that they would be ready to die in order to keep semi-automatic weapons.

To those who believe that "you can never stop a killer with laws" and "the more guns we have the safer we will be"...  If someone wants to go on a shooting rampage, why would we not expect them to simply respond by arming up even more with tactical gear, body armor, IED's, and other such weapons.  I do not believe for a second this self-absorbed misguided idea that mass killers are somehow 'cowards' that will be easily spooked out of their acts of violence.  What good does a teacher with a handgun have against a person armed with a semi-automatic weapon?  Will we be happy when we have a school where every classroom has a semi-automatic weapon for defense?

---

Everyone wants to look down on those collective younger people fighting for civil rights, against racism, environmentalism, and an end to strife like violence and poverty.  They respond with insults and hate.  But I promise:

"WE WILL NOT GO AWAY"

----

--- finally as for the chars in this:  Ive added Timon again in his silky 'snowflake' sissy outfit (we've reclaimed that once derogatory word).   The other male meerkat is just some random gay meerkat.  The girl meerkat is Timon's daughter Lina created by and the duck girl is (perhaps) her lesbian partner!   Her name is Shannon.  And then theres Duke Weaselton with the big red flag

I know who that guy is... and as a gay person those guys would have me in the sights of their guns.  You do realize this is advocating violence right?  Is that not what you accuse millennial and BLM of doing?

There is clearly no place for someone like me who is gay in the world of white supremacy.  Being gay opened my eyes to what it feels like to live in a world where everyone was perceiving you as the destruction of 'decent' and godly America.  Too long did i spend living in South Carolina and Arkansas and hearing the constant accusations that gays were conspiring against America, gays were often pedophiles, gays should be beaten up.  Ive had enough of that.  I learned what traditional white america stood for.  And I made the choice I was going to act to create cultural change so that I will have a place I can live safely and where no one will hinder my liberty and freedom.

One thing I pride myself in is that I will not act in overt violence against a person in order to bring about a society where I am accepted for who I am.  You may be losing ground because you stand behind those who advocate violence.  I want to show everyone in the world that I am not a person who will act to violence whereas those who are totally against me have a long history of acts of violence.  This is the standard that leads me to a path of non-violent change.  For in the end I foresee that humans will ultimately support peace and noble reasoning over violent hate and the will to dominate.

An eclectic collection. (Duke, what are you doing there? This is a family affair!) What can be said that has not been said already? The situation is nuts. We can only hope sanity prevails.

Sanity does not exist in most of the USA.  But it may be generational instead.  As the older genrerations move on and the millenials take over things will be different.  IN the case of millenials, there are people who are very much pro equality and against gun violence and have no interest in guns.  On the other hand, the millenials who are into conservative ideology and tend to be the trollers who act totally without remorse in their attacks on people they hate.  I think the dynamic of 'whose the side that is right' will be more affected by this, as people will gravitate away from the individuals who act with impunity in their open verbal attacks on those whom are victims or are heroic.  America does not act on logic it acts on rampant emotion or to game the system to ones advantage, and thats how policy decisions are made.

In a society where economy and business is king, we have found that the only major way to put a stop to injustice or to protest a bigoted person or law is to essentially go after those who make money off it through the boycott.  We are in a situation now where businesses are wanting to take sides in the politcial sphere and recognize that how they act in response to a social issue will affect wether or not we give them our business.  I dont like this economic driven method but its the only thing that works in the USA at the moment.  EX... open carry of guns were permitted in Chipolte restaurants probably because they never cared to take notice of this.  So people began posting images on social media showing people with out in the open in Chipolte and added the phrase BurritosnotBullets.  Within a week the entire company banned open carry from their restaurants.  Thats the system that we have to work in now.

At least now I hope that people around the world will see these protests and see how there are a reasonable ammount of Americans who are not the cliche super egotistical gun loving bible thumping Trump supporter, that the USA is pretty much a nation that has become extremely divided in their ideology and there are sensible, compassionate, peace loving people who are just simply caught in the system trying to find a way to change all this.

We're in a country where life appears to have little value to the average person. Lives seem to be of the least value when they belong to people of different color, religion, social status, or sexual identity.  I never could figure that out.  There is literally nothing in this world that is worth more than a life, ever. People want handguns to protect things that have little to no value. If someone breaks into a person's house in an attempt to steal a $1,000 flat screen TV, the owner will kill them!  That TV is worth only a fraction of it's original value as soon as it's plugged in. It's worth maybe $10 a year or two later - if it even works any more.  Yet, people in this country will kill over something so trivial that no one even needs.  Even if someone stole a billion dollars in pure untraceable gold, it wouldn't be even close to the value of a life. People shoot people for money, for material possessions, because someone follows a different faith, or is a different color, or because they dress differently, or smile the wrong way. What is seriously wrong with people?

With very few exceptions, most guns are designed and made from the ground up to kill people. That's the primary purpose for most of them. Sure, there are some where the primary purpose is hunting, and some other purpose, but the vast majority of guns are designed to specifically for efficient killing of other people.  There is very little point to owning a gun if one doesn't intend to use it for it's designed purpose. Sure, hunting rifles are designed for hunting. That's probably why you don't see many people killing people with those - they're big, hard to conceal and harder to aim as quickly. You don't often hear of shooters using flare guns to kill people either.  They use the much-more-common, designed-to-kill-people, hand guns, and semi automatics.

The NRA has twisted the second amendment into something it was never intended to be, and they have a large portion of the people worshiping their agenda as if it were a right.  The second amendment doesn't say we can have guns to kill people who steal from us, nor who come onto our property.  It says we have the right to have arms to protect us from our own government, if it should turn bad on us.  The NRA has convinced people that we are against each other instead, while they themselves are seeding that tyrannical movement in our government that the second amendment was designed to protect us against!  How twisted things have grown. That's a battle that can't be won - outside of downright massive turnouts at voting time. Even then, the ability to change things through lawful and peacful voting is likely to erode rapidly if we don't start turning things around very soon. I'm not even sure that those in power are going to relinquish control even now, if the masses vote them out. I think the people really need to turn things around within the next couple elections, and the longer it waits, the tougher it will be.

Guns are a problem. But the biggest problem isn't the guns.  It's that most Americans' love and worship guns, and the power to kill. Guns just make it easier and more glorious for those don't value the lives of others.  Take away guns, and shootings will obviously go down. Unfortunately, those who wish  to kill will still find ways. Shootings go down, while bombings, stabbing, and poisonings go up to compensate. People with  an agenda to kill will always  find a way. What we really need to do is to change the American desire to kill. Our culture needs to be changed at a basic level. A good start would be to start discouraging materialism. Always wanting is very often the seed to stealing and not thinking of others.  We also need to stop glorifying violence and destruction. Unfortunately, movies with the most violence and killing seem to give people the most boners. That's one I simply can't understand, but it is so often true.

You know Id like to say that for the most part, youre the only one of the old furry guard ive met who has not turned into some sort of far right libertatian who loves guns and hates BLM or womens rights groups.  It seems they all just are extremely angry and egotistical people whose focus on the issues of the world is centered entirely on themselves.

The thing is, a growing portion of the population, including myself, see the idea of "more guns" to prevent gun violence as insane.  We see that the more guns are out there availble with easy access, then the more they will be used by people wanting to commit violence.  I also do not at all believe in the often said statements that these mass killers are "cowards" and can be turned away by a more heavily armed school or community.  To me that is an unrealistic moral fairytale to say that only noble good hearted people have bravery to face danger.  I believe that the mass shooters will simply just obtain far more powerful arsenals, attack plans, body armor, maybe even explosive devices.  I believe, based upon the evidence ive seen in nations like Japan, Australia, and the UK.. that the only way to stop this mass shooting gun violence is to first eliminate a large number of guns and restrict the types of weapons availible to own, and then finally reeducate the toxic american culture that champions wealth, masculine power, competition, and hyper indivudualism.... all of which romanticize the will to dominate.  Once those things are achieved, we can have a peaceful and happy society where violence and crime is brought far down.

Well. I'm a libertarian anyway. So...I honestly think the government just needs to stay the fuck out of people's buisness. Nobody, weithier their alt right religious nutjobs that want to put the LGBT in concentration camps or killed or alt left facist idiots who want free speech to be taken away from people and support fucking communism and racism against white people. Eaither way, both sides are full of shit, and I hate both ideologies. And I'm bisexual myself and Italian too. Now on the concept of guns. I certainly agree that there should be stricter gun laws in place so that fucked up people shouldn't get them , or young kids eaither, in their hands. So yeah, that was my two cents on this issue. (Even though I kinda rambled a bit)

I just noticed this.

Firstofall I want to say that I do believe that there is a lot of promise in communism.  Its been so heavily demonized in the west because.... well we are the most capitalist nation on earth.  The basic belief in the system is this: in communism, the people rule.  In capitalism, the economy and those with capital rule.  To me its morally clear which system I would better like to serve.  For right now I am immensely unhappy with the current system that has left me with massive student loan debt, medical bills I cannot pay, back injuries from a high stress job that gave me minimum wage, and even the death of the trees around my house from an invasive bug brought over on cargo ships that were not monitored by the government.

A large government is only effective when the people rule it and everyone is involved in the political process.  Right now we have a government that is mostly run by special interests from the economic sector with most our politicians coming from the banking, lobbying, and energy industries.  Those with great capital run the government now.  So no wonder its corrupt.

There is no alt-left IMO.  The Antifa are not a collective organization and operate totally without leadership nor control over their members.  I know one of my friends where I used to live was an Antifa member.

I also would like to point out, if youre an Italian, then you must be somewhat aware of how much Italy has dealt with fascism itself, and also how there has been a famous history of really full on leftist Italian rebels.  Do you know of Pasolini and seen any of his films?
