Description
I'll explain the bench theory when i've finished documenting the whole series. But as a thought...
Have you ever wondered where the lower class citizens have gone in this country? In your country?
I know mine have disappeared from the public's eye.
Non-existant and no longer found sleeping on the streets and benches.
It is my goal to find them. Where are they now? How are they living? Which dark corner of this nation are they hiding out in, far from the prying eyes of tourists?

Interesting idea. It's actually amazing that in Canada, right outside the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa, our nations capital there is quite a bit of homeless people, and the same at most tourist sites in the city. I live in a smaller city (approx. 250 000 population) and all the homeless seem to be downtown where there are multiple homeless shelters, as well as a couple soup kitchens.

Out of sight, out of mind. There's still a good number in the heartlands. I saw some @ the multi-storey CP behind Joo Chiat Complex. Sleeping on cardboards, using their bag as a pillow..., a really sad sight to behold.
There was an elderly couple, homeless and sleeping @ the Changi Airport. There was news article on them, think it was last year. They declined to be interviewed and shunned the ST photogs.
Food for thought I guess..

That's really quite an interesting concept. I started noticing that they replaced the old bus stop benches with these inclined, narrow strips--- or created small barriers in between seats--- i've since realized that it's to prevent homeless people from staying there during the night. So, where do they go?

nice. that got you thinking.
that's exactly the thing that we have to ask ourselves. Is it a subtle change? An indirect use of these benches all over singapore that forces the sleepless and homeless to go somewhere else, away from the public eye?
Where they go, is now a project for me

I don't know if you mean your project to incorporate foreign workers who are "technically" housed, but you may find this video interesting. [link] layer_embedded
