it is true and that it actually makes it look different I think it's the hard light. I think the majority of people are used to see weding pictures with soft light!

the tones are interesting. however, the photographer isnt as easily recognized as the crowd/couple. perhaps lightening the shadows on the photographer would create more emphasis on the stress you mentioned. its a nice shot and a great angle. was it the couple's first dance?

aye i didn't want to bring out the photographer any more than he should have been because he'd end up drawing all the attention from the background, away from the couple, which is the main focus.
it was their first walk in together as a married couple to the dinner banquet.
