It's difficult to come across a more effective and well-taken piece of concert photography than this. It exhibits everything that, for instance, a music magazine would want from such a picture.
It captures the energy and enthusiasm of Hayley Williams' live performance almost perfectly by catching her mid-headbang. Whilst the feeling of movement is shown particularly well by the singer's slightly blurred hair, the rest of her face an body are pretty much spot-on in terms of focus which gives the level of details which is often difficult to achieve with live music photography. This is down to the photographer's obvious skill and experience. This is also show by photographer's positioning - being at the right place at the right time is key here.
The composition of the shot really gives the view a sense of occasion and helps to get across what it must have been like to be at the concert. The placement of the equipment case in the bottom right corner of the frame is almost akin to foreground features typical of landscape shots. The Paramore stamp on the box really makes this particular feature, as does the capture of the stage lights shining right down into the lens and the angle of the shot which gives a real sense of perspective and space.
A fantastic example of this sort of work.
