Finally uploading it because it's already featured internationally.-
A Singapore Armed Forces officer looks on as his foreign counterpart makes a radio call back to HQ for the go-ahead to attack an enemy hot zone.

normally I don't comment on DDs, as they already have all the attention there is, but this one captivated me. excellent shot: the DOF, the expression, the intensity of war - this will haunt me quite some time I guess....

Perfect example of "suspended tension"! I just love the use of black on the right. The main figure's face has so little light yet poses so many questions. You can feel he's got a job to do and all other things in life are secondary to what will happen next.
Truly stunning.

I like the way the guys in the background and foreground are both looking over their shoulders; it gives the picture a real sense of danger and suspense. It's weird to think of how, if this photo were taken even a second later, it might not have had the same atmosphere!

Beautiful, and completely lacking in the normal romanticizing of war that we often see in photography. (Or the politicizing, but I'm starting to think that's not a word...) Congrats.
