Description Piccolo Jr. is the child of the Demon King Piccolo.  Piccolo began as Goku's rival until the arrival of the Saiyan threat.  Afterwards, he became a defender of Earth and trained Goku's first born son, Gohan.  Piccolo is an expert strategist in battle and has developed many effective techniques.  Throughout the series, Piccolo has fused with fellow Namekians, Nail and Kami.  Recently, Piccolo participated in the tournament against Universe 6.

Well, I'm back!  It was a pleasure to draw DragonBall Art again after getting caught up on DragonBall Super.  It's a great break from adulthood and office reports!  Drawing Piccolo was a pleasure, I decided to go with the Manga color scheme rather than the pink colored arms from the anime, just a personal preference.

A massive thank you to my beautiful wife to be, Kelsey Rooke, for always inspiring me!  A massive thank you also goes to my friend, Jason Hovdebo, for introducing me to DragonBall Super!

My next piece of artwork will likely be of Master Roshi, the Turtle Hermit.

Thank you again for viewing this piece!  Please let me know what you think! Your comments are my motivation to continue drawing more DragonBall!  It's good to be back!

I was always more partial to the manga color schemes Toriyama established for most characters (even if many are really just lighter versions of the show's color schemes). I like Korin's simple white design and King Kai's look in the anime more, though. It's kinda funny how even Jump Ultimate Stars, a manga-based game, utilized the anime colors for King Kai's support panel.

Oh man, I agree completely! Korin and King Kai look better in the anime.  Sometimes I really like to pick out all the differences between the manga and the anime, they're both very unique despite being so similar.  How was the Jump Ultimate Stars game anyway?  I've never played it.

It was fun enough. As you can imagine, with so many playable and support characters thrown in, it was a little unbalanced in spots, but it was still enjoyable for the most part. Online wound up being littered with hackers and people spamming the broken supports, though.

Apart from the manga centric-crossover games, it's neat how a fair number of DBZ titles utilized the Toriyama colors. Those Super Nintendo ones did it a lot, and Budokai 2 sort of did it when it came to some outfits. There's also SDBZ, but that one goes without saying since the whole game is designed around the manga version.

I really hope they come out with some more games for the new consoles, I haven't played Xenoverse at all.. not sure it's my cup of tea.

Xenoverse is okay. It had a lot of flaws, though. The problem is that the game tries to aim really high, trying to incorporate all these many different features and lots of content, but stumbles due to being done on a smaller budget and what's probably a relatively short dev time (which is the normal for anime titles) compared to other games of its scale. Xenoverse 2 similarly falters in areas due to those same limitations. I imagine there will be a Xenoverse 3, and hopefully it's significantly improved now that there has been two games worth of content to build off of and refine further.

Maybe I'm biased because I haven't played Xenoverse but I'd much prefer a straight up fighting game based on DragonBall Super.  Withe survival arc on the go there will is more than enough characters available.

I imagine there'll be a more Super-oriented title in the future. We're still at a stage where they're slowly dipping into the new content introduced in the series through DLC and minor inclusions here and there. Soon, it'll be the main focus.

It'll be funny when it happens, as the fanbase will probably be split, with one side wanting priority on classic Dragon Ball and movie game content, and the other wanting priority on the new Super stuff.

It'll be interesting when that happens, I've played so many DBZ games that a DB Super game will be a nice change of pace at least. Haven't really got into a game since Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

I just hope Super can last for some time and maintain interest in the franchise. Prior to the series' revival starting with Battle of Gods, the games started to be made on a smaller budget and were really, really rushed last gen because sales were finally dwindling after the initial craze in English regions started to die down. If interest goes down quickly, all the future games will be made on the cheap again. The show has gotta remain relevant just long enough for some great titles, dang it!

I think the show is doing well, there's a lot of buzz in my region at least. I haven't checked any ratings numbers yet.

I really hope that worldwide viewership remains strong. It'll be interesting to see how much money and care will be put into Xenoverse 3 and whatever other titles come around in the future now that the show's gone international and can gain an even larger interest in the video games. They'll be able to go the extra mile without worrying about costs as much as before.

I just checked tv ratings for Dragon Ball Super and it looks like they're actually doing really really good. Hopefully that means you're right and quality games are on the horizon!
