(how to sketch too? do you paint on a separate layer)

Yes I do, that brush is very convenient. And yes, I paint on a lot of layers.. normally i do the lines first, and then paint on a separate layer which is multiply, so the line work won't be convered. Until I'm satisfied with the color, I will create more layers to paint on top of the color layer. Eventually the line layer will be completely covered.
