I believe you asked for comment, otherwise I wouldn't dare nitpick.
I think by making Asterix and Obelix as muscular looking as this, you miss the point being made by the creators of the story. Obelix is a huge fat dope, and Asterix is a small, weedy sort of guy -- neither is supposed to be the sort you'd expect to be heroic. Yet they're tough and incredibly strong.
When they're drawn with a lot of muscles, it isn't surprising that they're such warriors, you see.
