Backgrounds. My age old nemesis...So, is taking some time off work to relax and see people she's not seen in ages. This popped into my head shortly after I heard, and, well, you know how comics never stay in my head forever.

When it's not the birds, it's the fact that you have to ride your car an half hour (or more) on highway, pay a big price (6$/person) for going into a park and trying to find a quiet place when it's full of people wishing the same as you: reconnecting with nature.
Been there. And still the same. Just an higher price next year. Yeah. It's becoming hard to be in nature when you live in a suburb.

Not the local ones where kids play. I meant National parks.
We have provincials (around 17 in Quebec) and federals (43) national parks. Even one here is owned by an university. You pay a fee for the maintenance of the park and the employees. And with no more governmental subvention the fee doubled from last year.
