Description
I've had this basic concept stuck in my head since shortly after the last Sibsy comic I did, so while I was taking a day off from requests (more through lack of motivation than actual desire to not draw) I figured it would be as good a time as any to rustle this up.This is a first for a number of things: first one of these done entirely digitally, first one done entirely from one camera perspecitve, and first one with a neat thing I tried out with the eye-styles (tell me if it works or not).
Also, here's a speed drawing video of this comic (forgot to record the sketching): [link] It's at x8 speed, but is still nearly 20 minutes. Given how long I spent on this, I'm a little disappointed I didn't do better...

Yeh, I always figured that storyboard artists were like a half-way point between being a Director and a Camera Operator.

Indeed I am.
But I also do a lot of non-pony stuff, so it might be a little bit of a wait.

Oh please say you will do more in this style.
The idea of them all being actors is very funny to me, and I'd love to see more.

That's called enforced method acting they're using on Fluttershy there.

That's the problem with enforced method acting: The reaction you get might not be the reaction you want.

I've always seen Storyboard Artists as half-way points between Directors and Camera Operators.
And neat, can't wait to see what I've inspired!

I was thinking more James Cameron or Alfred Hitchcock, but sure, Micheal Bay works.

Actually my first impression was Ridley Scott, who in Alien did not inform the cast that there would be an alien ripping out of a man's chest . It was for "natural reactions" of course.

I thought that was James Cameron's work in Aliens. I should probably actually watch those films...

Cameron did do Aliens, but the predecessor to that was Alien, directed by Ridley Scott. Both are amazing movies, however Alien is the one with the iconic "last dinner" scene with the chestburster. That's where the actors were taken by surprise.
