This is really nice, how the light reflections actually point down and hilight the swans.

And the reflexion of the light striking the building that goes straight to the swans WOW.

Fellow Perthian - yay!
Wow, this is such a great image of our beautiful city. Also reflects how much construction is going on around here lately.
Those swans are perfectly in the beam of light too, fabulous!
Well done!

Hi! Thanks so much for your comments here, I'm so glad you get a kick from the shot. Man, I was so lucky that afternoon, I just couldn't believe it when the swans came paddling by, right at the height of the sunset. You know there was almost something 'higher' about the whole thing - kinda weird and eerie. I still can't quite believe it... heh, I guess I'm easily pleased by the small things!

PS I tried looking around the settings, but I dont think that I can setup prints, it must be because you are subscribed (or at least I assume you are because you have a * instead of a ~ next to your name! ). According to that message we all got, prints will soon be available to non-subscribers too, yay

timtam In reply to Kermon [2004-12-18 01:41:58 +0000 UTC]
Ah yeh that's probably the case, I am subscribed, as the * indicates. Actually picked up a print account yesterday after submitting 'Perth' (the swans pic), reckon I might stand a chance there. Great news re prints for non-subscribers, the administration is really forthcoming here innit?

Yup, though I think I should subscribe myself as a christmas present to myself. Hehe I'm not sure if anyone would want prints of my pics, but may as well get a prints account too if I subscribe..

What is it the boy scouts say? "Be prepared".. or is it 'DYB! DYB! DYB!'..? erm.. *cough*

timtam In reply to timtam [2004-12-18 02:16:06 +0000 UTC]
Probably not specifically Aussie, but the little cub scouts chant this (means Do Your Best) as part of their pagan chanting rituals to the gods of clean living and outdoorsmanship. It's all about brainwashing and other funky stuff.
You do know to tell me to when I get like thi, dontcha..?
