Heres a process image to a portion of the new WU-TANG-CLAN "WU-MASSACRE" album cover by myself and Chris Bachalo. This one features Rae. Youll notice some subtle changes from the pencils to the inks. All a part of the commercial art gig....arbitrary changes. Yay!Related content

Rae the "Chef" or in this case Rae the "Butcher". I love that these reflect their personalities, Rae seems very much the more gritty, dirty hands kind.

The blue lens flare seems to stick out less/look less corny. I would have gone with that or just used a brush to make a lens flare type of look without using the preset one.

There is. Sorry man. Trouble is lens flares only happen with cameras in reality, so you're adding an ultra realistic effect to indicate the presence of a camera over an obviously non-realistic comic style image.
It's better to shade in a proper glare on the metal instead.
Anyway, great image overall!

It's just an aesthetic thing. The built in photoshop lens flare just looks bad. It takes away from the art.
