i almost missed the screaming dudes in the background; then, i mistook them for creepy trees. nice. not sure i would've been lonely so much in this situation as scared to death, especially as a child. i probably wouldn't've turned my back on them either; i definitely would've made my stuffed animals stand guard between us. lol.

the mood is somewhat ambiguous: it is scary, undoubtedly, but that light from the top-right corner suggests some kind of salvation. Like an angel coming to save her. However, great work.
