Looks like our little heroes have just gotten back from a particularly tiring mission.

Technical Information

For Father's Day, I chose Darkwing Duck (Drake Mallard) and his adopted daughter, Gosalyn Waddlemeyer to be my subjects.

I never watched very many Disney cartoons as a kid (due to lacking Disney channels).

But when I was in China (in 2011), I started watching Ducktales. Upon finishing Ducktales, I moved on to Ducktales' successor, Darkwing Duck. (Which I'm still watching when time allows.)

Few animated series' have made my heart feel as full as Ducktales and Darkwing Duck... Ducktales because of Scrooge's beautifully crafted relationship with his nephews and Darkwing Duck because of his wonderful relationship with Gosalyn.

Reason For This Picture

Despite the fact that Gosalyn was adopted, her relationship with her father reminds me a bit of my relationship with mine so I decided to sit back and think of things I did with my dad when I was younger.

I mean... there were all sorts of things we did together but I wanted something sweet where Darkwing (as the father) was the focus. Then I smiled, remembering how I used to climb up on my daddy's chest and fall asleep right there.

It was so cute, I had to draw it.
