Been working on this for a few weeks. Started off as a sketch at work.
AND I DONT KNOW HOW IT GOT THIS WAY.

Im so proud of that dragon.
And that ravine.

Competition: 2015 DFS Single Round II : Better, Braver (PRIZES)

>> Rona gave a hesitant flinch as her eyes adjusted to the bright light of the arena. Preacher snorted, throwing his massive head to the sky. He was ready, confident, already seeing what the outcome would be. Rona placed her hand on the stallions’ neck, she he was the one that made her feel at ease.

>> Preacher lifted his legs high, trotting in place. Rona leaned forward, placing her bow on her lap, clicking the button and it morphed into a holographic bow. She made the motion to grab an arrow out of her quiver, the holograph appeared in her hand. The red stallion high stepped his fancy self around the arena. He already knew what was to come, and he was ready. He nickered loudly, glancing back at Rona, she was still uneasy, he felt it and picked up the pace. He was scanning for the big blue thing.

>> Rona was too busy trying to see the crowd as the stallion ducked under her and she barely caught herself in time to see the beast crawl out from a ravine in the arena. She turned to face him, the beast roared and clambered after the duo.

>> Preacher dodged behind large boulders, his hooves slipping on the rocks, but regaining traction on the little patches of dirt in-between. Rona had fired a few arrows, missing mostly as she felt the horse beneath her struggle to get away. She grabbed the reins and pulled him in another direction towards the more open area. They turned and watched the dragon clamber over some rocks, still looking for them. Silently they stalked the dragon as it climbed down into another ravine. Preacher pulled the reins from her hands and tore off towards the beast. Rona nearly dropped her bow, realizing what the stallion was about to do.

>> “Preaches…” she gasped as he leapt, the dragon finally finding his target soaring over him. Her father’s words rang in her head. A small chant he used to say when she was practicing sports. She cant miss again, she had played so sloppy earlier. Aimsmall misssmall. Killshot.
