Description
Last months progress on Celtic Sew Along by Acupictora's Stitch Along on FB. Had a few issues with this tile, the knot outlines I was losing where each piece of the line should be so was stitching it in wrong place.........didn't realise until it wasn't matching up which was a bugger, frog came and visited me several times lol. Then I went and misread 2 of the symbols which are both backwards c, only difference is one is slightly bigger than the other so if you read the chart quickly you can mix them up. Only realised I'd stitched the two larger squares round the border in the wrong blue by pure chance so had the frog see me with that. Thank heavens for a seam ripper and tweezers, made it fairly quick to take it all out......just had to restitch the whole flippin lot then in the correct blue.Stitched on 14 count with DMC threads

It looks great! I think you need to distract the frog by giving it a nice pond to sit in so it doesn't mistake your embroidery for a pond!

It looks great so I'd say it's still worth it despite the trouble you're experiencingΒ

Thanks π, am just extremely glad to get that section finished. First time since starting this last year I got to the point of wanting to chuck it out the window and say sod it π

You're welcome! I know that feeling only too well. That's the best time to put it away for a bit, do something else and come back later. Β

I only stitch it every other day (if I'm in the right frame of mind) otherwise it can drive me nuts as it's a big project, if I tried working on it more often it would end up being left for heck knows how long with nothing done in it and probably not finished for years π

Haha! Sounds like someone I know! I am having a huge studio clean out a the moment for this exact reason. Most of those large scale painting projects were leading nowhere anyway!

Got two old WIP/UFOs that I'm back working on that are 11 years in the process, one's stitched on black Aida which I knew wouldn't be a quick stitch (but not this long) & the other I mislaid the chart for.......neither of them are that big either lol π

I understand about stuff taking a long time. I ditched a big one the other day that was started in 2007 - I have moved beyond the subject matter!!!!Β Β Β Β
