okay so this was kind of inspired by a conversation with LilMissTrickster !I asked her to list her top five sun/moon characters, as I wanted to try out this style some more but didn't know who to draw. My original plan was to draw all five- Kukui, Hau, Olivia, Kiawe and Guzma. But just as I was finishing up my sketch of the second one, Hau....
Artrage crashed. So the only lines I had left were Kukui's.
And I decided fuck that noise, I didn't want to redraw any lines. So I took my Kukui sketch and made this.
... and whilst it's definitely not the most original thing in the world, fuck you, it's cute and I like how it came out. So have a dumb thing with Professor Kukui and a mimikyu.

My logic is it'd take a lot of energy/effort for a mimikyu to make a new disguise cloak resembling something? And it'd have to think of you, like **super super fondly**. So of course he'd be surprised!

That's what I was thinking! It must've taken a while for mimikyu to make
it's disguise so it'd be surprising if it ended up in a completely different
surprise than what the trainer (or in this case, professor too!) was used to~
