amazingΒ expression. itΒ almostΒ like as if she was in pain or can't breath.
i know mermaids can breath in air. but you know when you cry so hard that you kind of lose your breath, kinda like that

Her tail looks absolutely fantastic!! I love the wet 'sheen' look you've given her body and tail...nice! The extra little fins on her tail look exotic, and the look of a gorgeous derriere under her tail skin is just dreamy!! She'd look amazing with webbing between her fingers, too!

She reminds me of Daryll Hannah as "Madison" from Splash. Love that movie, and I love this artwork. Beautiful.

This reminds me of a myth we have here in Greece, about Alexander the Great's sister, who became a mermaid after some... unfortunate circumstances, and, after Alexander died, she kept looking for him, crying and stopping ships to ask whether he is alive or not. This is such a good piece

AWWW I have never heard of that story, that sounds like a great concept for a series of illustrations, thanks for sharing ;_;!

I like the extra attention you give to the hands and the scales in places, picking out highlights is the way to go

Thank you!! I've found that highlighting certain areas with white make things pop and draw your eye to those areas.

Love the expression and the tail texture!! Beautiful scales! They look so shiny and cute ( I know from experience how hard it is to do that!)
Awesome job~
